It was the day of 6th December, 2025, when the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre in Purbachal turned into the pulse of the country’s car scene as Generation on Wheels 2025 took over. It was loud, packed, and delightfully chaotic, and yes it was not your typical polished auto show. This felt personal and Collector-driven. A celebration of cars as identity, history, and pure obsession. Exactly the way real enthusiasts want it.
The morning opened with nostalgia. Under warm sunlight, long rows of classics drew slow-moving crowds. Volkswagen Beetles lined up like vintage candy, followed by Japanese post-war icons, lovingly restored German saloons, rugged old Land Cruisers, and even a hand-built Toyota Century, a rolling time capsule of old-school luxury. Conversations drifted from restoration stories to impossible-to-find spare parts to owners who’ve kept their machines alive for decades.
By midday, the vibe flipped. People poured into the performance deck, a concrete arena where modern horsepower shook the air. Three generations of Toyota Supra A70, A80, A90 sat side by side, showing how an icon evolves. A McLaren Artura rolled in with theatrical timing, instantly becoming the center of gravity. A Nissan GT-R R35 and a razor-sharp Honda NSX drew equal attention, while Porsche 718s, Lancer Evolutions, Subaru STIs, and a handful of V8-powered Lexus RCFs filled out one of the most diverse high-performance lineups Dhaka has ever seen.
What made it even better was the humanity behind every car. These weren’t cordoned-off corporate showpieces. Daily drivers sat next to decade-long passion projects. Tuned builds shared space with untouched originals. Restomodded Jaguars chilled beside bone-stock classics. No hierarchy. No pretension. Every car had a story, and every story had an audience.
Even the official brand booths synced smoothly into the energy. Chery, BYD, Kia, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Honda, MG, Proton, GAC, and Deepal all showed up with fresh metal, but instead of dominating, they blended into the culture happening around them. BYD Bangladesh even teased their attendance ahead of time.
As sunset hit, the festival reached peak variety. Japanese heroes like Celicas, MR2s, and Mark IIs shared upper decks with Euro beasts, Brabus builds, M-badged BMWs, GT-Rs, the NSX, and the Artura lighting up every camera in sight.
Generation on Wheels 2025 stood out because it felt like Bangladesh’s car culture in its rawest form, loud when it wanted to be, sentimental when it mattered, and powered entirely by community. After years of enthusiasts craving a space that truly represented them, this felt like the moment everything clicked.
Even when the live concert lineup changed due to security instructions, it didn’t slow the night down. The cars themselves delivered the soundtrack, exhaust notes, turbo whistles, and engines revving in unplanned harmony. Thousands still stayed, proving the obvious: in Bangladesh, the cars and the people around them will always be the real headliners.
For many, Generation on Wheels 2025 wasn’t just an event, it was a declaration. Bangladesh’s car scene has found its voice, its confidence, and its crowd. And with organizers already hinting that next year will be bigger, crazier, and even more inclusive, one thing feels certain: this culture is only getting louder.
